Failure is the streets version of a formal business education. Have you been schooled?
Often, I reward and encourage success so single-mindedly that I don’t always see and embrace the lessons in business that only come from my failures.
Those failures are the business lessons that I hold closest to my heart to shape my actions in helping build small businesses today.
When I came across this presentation by Taylor Davidson of Unstructured Ventures I had to share it.
What’s your biggest lesson you could only have learned from failure?
Well, it’s good to get the “streets” and the formal versions of business education
Thanks for finding the presentation interesting: so I’ll ask: what’s the biggest lesson you have learned from failure?
Glad I could share your presentation on my blog! I’d say my biggest failure that I’ve learned from was related to #19, the kind of people you bring on to your team.
I’ve been apart of enough failed teams to have it ingrained! I always bring on board the whole person, not the resume and its made a huge difference in how things get done. Took a real world failure for me to get that one, not a class exercise.
